Fox skipped along the ShrubClan border. The orange tom was obviously asking for trouble because he kept two paws in the clan territory and two paws out of the territory.
As usual he had a wide smug grin spread across his face.
He didn't keep his pawsteps quiet either. His paws crunched loudly against the frost snow, scaring away any prey that might have been in the area.
Windrunner's ear twitched. It swiveled around until locking onto the crunching sound of pawsteps on snow. The she-cat mumbled to himself, "Whoever that is they're scaring away food."
She looked closer at where the noise was coming from. The border! "Maybe it's a kittypet." She guessed and then ran towards the sound swiftly and quietly.
"Eh?" Fox turned his head towards the warrior who was running quickly. His smile only grew larger as he saw that he had suceded in attracting attention.
"Hey kittypet!" Windrunner called out as she drew closer. When the grey she-cat had caught up with Fox she walked beside him and asked, "What are you doing here? You should be back in the twoleg place."
"Oi, kittypet?" Fox looked at her, confused for a moment and then the tom broke out laughing. "Ah, you must be one of those forest cats! And just to let you know, I'm no 'kittypet'. Therefore I'm not soft and I felt like walking here so I am."
The female cat sighed at Fox's obvious stubborness. "Well your scaring away the prey and I'd appreciate it if you'd walk somewhere else or just be quiet."
The orange cat pretended to contemplate the warrior's words. Then he mockingly said, "Yeah sure, I'll leave and walk quietly." But that was a lie, he just continued stomping along the border.
Windrunner sighed again and leapt after the stray cat.
